It's incredibly delicious, difficult to screw up (even for a non-baker like me) and makes a gorgeous, elegant presentation with just a little powdered sugar sprinkled on top. It will settle on and it will look just fine. I've been making this recipe for at least 30 years with one exception which I won't go into. I put strawberries on it when I served it and my guests loved it and asked for the recipe. I have a convection oven and I thought it might cook faster but at 300 degrees it took all of the 1 hour 40 minutes plus maybe another 10.
